Hot days, warm nights and the winding down of the school year mean that market season is upon us. The anchor of my soap business is Farm and Artisan Markets. I love meeting new people, visiting with old friends, and the opportunity to tell folks what sets my soaps and other products apart from the crowd. These are the Farmers Market locations I will be setting up for the summer of 2016.
Kalkaska Farmers Market
Tuesday afternoon, 2pm – 6pm
The Kalkaska Farmer’s Market is located in downtown Kalkaska, in Railroad Square at the corner of Cedar St. and Third St.
Kingsley Farmers Market
Wednesday 2pm – 6pm
Unique among local markets, the Kingsley Farmers Market is set up to be a family event. The local Boy Scout Troop is there with food available for everyone – they just ask for a donation to help support their activities. Live music begins around 5 every evening, there is a splash pad and occasional activities for the kiddos throughout the summer. Come out for some family fun.
The Kingsley Market is held at Bronson Park in Kingsley.
Cadillac Made in Michigan Artisan and Farmers Market
Thursday 9am – 3pm
Due to construction of the new Cadillac Commons, the Cadillac Made in Michigan Artisan and Farm Market has moved this year. Located directly across from Lake Cadillac, the market is in the city parking lot behind the After 21 Depot. Here you will find high quality crafts, art, unique jewelry and more, including some farm goods.
I hope to see you at one of the local markets!
